The rules: Each person tagged gives 7 random facts about themselves. Those who are tagged need to write on their own blog those 7 facts as well as the rules of the game. You need to tag seven other people and list their names on your blog. Then you leave those you plan on tagging a note in their comments so they know that they have been tagged and to read your blog.
Here goes nothing:
1. I am a total "Tea snob". Don't get me wrong, I adore various coffee goodness, but tea is my true beverage passion. I enjoy funky herbal blends as well as traditional Irish Breakfast tea. Most often I sweeten with honey, but I have been known to add a dash of milk or cream as well. There are some brands I consider inferior and will give a long opinionated discourse on the subject.
2. I am OBSESSED with vampyres! Ever since I was a little girl, they have held my interest and fascination. I live for the folklore, fiction, mythos, and even the Living Vampire sub-culture. I often have dreams involving them and have been called a "pranic vampyre", on occasion.
3. I was Captain of a local recreational paintball team (The Continental Marines). We'd often head out to Hell Survivors in Pinckney, MI to play Wayne Dollack's 24 Hour games. Yep, 24 HOURS of non-stop scenario paintball. I was a sniper and dang good at it. We also played at an "outlaw field" off of I-94 and Rawsonville Rd. Total adrenaline rush!
4. I am an eternal scholar. I'll spend many hours poring over various subjects, just for the simple love of learning. I'm happiest with my nose in a book rather than any other form of media. I jokingly refer to myself as a "bibliophile".
5. Once upon a time, I was a "druggie". I used to smoke marijuana daily, drop acid on occasion, toyed with opium for a bit, and even sampled cocaine. I had an epiphany one day that this wasn't the person I truly was meant to be, so I simply stopped. No withdrawals, no cravings, nothing. That was over 12 years ago now.
6. If I was wealthy, I'd be known as eccentric. However, since I'm not, I'm just considered weird. My personal philosophy, style, tastes in books & music, and overall attitude has earned me more than one stare over the years. I'm very secure in my identity and highly opinionated. Although I'm turning 31 this year (and have been a wife and mother for close to a decade), my mom still assures me that this is just "a phase". :D Please pass the SFX dye...Deep purple...
7. When I was in high school, I was published in Who's Who Among American High School Students (Two years running), I was selected for the Young Americans Congress in D.C., and chosen for a student "exchange" program in Japan. Unfortunately, due to some weird insecurities my mother had, I was not able to attend the congress, nor go to Japan. These are the only real regrets I have in my life. What might have been...
